Grammatical Errors in Using Tenses Made by ESP Students

Sometimes the students of ESP or Non-English majoring error in using tenses. The low level students' understanding tense is one factors that greatly influences errors making sentences. objective this research was to describe students’ and its causes In research, writers used a qualitative method form descriptive analysis (percentage) included observation, collecting test, analyzing, interpreting data. For data, researcher test as instrument. This conducted 35 Pharmaceutical Study Program Institute Health Science Siti Khadijah Palembang. result showed percentage made by samples tenses 75%, consisted selection 30%, omission 24% ordering 21%. It means Palembang tense, because more than 70% error. probable sources were interlanguage context learning error, where 52% caused interlanguage.
